Our Vision

To fulfill the Great Commission by building strong and biblical people to plant strong and biblical churches in Tokyo, Japan, and all over the world.

Statement of Faith
The One True God
We believe in the one true and eternal God, the Creator of everything. Our God is revealed in Scriptures as the eternal Godhead, the Trinity, who has shown Himself as one God, existing in three persons - The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 48:16; Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:4-6

The Bible
We believe in every word of the Old and New Testaments as the infallible Word of God that God inspired humans to write. It is the standard of faith as well as the absolute truth for every aspect in a believer's life.

II Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; Exodus 24:4; II Peter 3:2

The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in His virgin birth, in His perfect deity and perfect humanity, in His equality with the Father, in His sinless life, in His crucifixion, in His resurrection, in His ascension, and in His second coming. We believe that He is the only way to the Father.

Colossians 1:15-19; Philippians 2:5-8; I Timothy 2:5-6; John 1:1-3, 14-18

The Holy Spirit and His Baptism
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God. He dwells within believers to enable them to lead holy lives, and Christians should always be filled with the Holy Spirit. We believe in the gift of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit--an experience separate from being born again.

Matthew 3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2

Angels and Evil Spirits
We believe God created many angels to be without sin, but Lucifer intentionally sinned and was then called Satan. Some of the angels (1/3) followed him to become fallen angels. Satan rules in this sinful world endeavoring to destroy God's plan and man's life by tempting us to sin against God. The rest of the angels (2/3) are on God's side, and they play a part of God's salvation for mankind.

Isaiah 14:12; Psalm 104:4

Man
We believe that the first couple was created sinless, but they intentionally sinned, causing all humans to fall under the power of sin. For this reason, it is necessary for every person to receive salvation through the sacrifice made for us by Jesus Christ. Without salvation, a person will receive the penalty of eternal destruction in hell.

Romans 3:23; Genesis 1:26-27

The Redemption of Man
Man was created in the image of God (both male and female). Through Adam's transgression, sin came into the world. Jesus Christ was manifested to undo the work of the devil giving up His life and shedding His blood to redeem and restore man back to God.

We believe that a person can only be saved when he trusts in Jesus Christ. Salvation is given by the grace of God and not because of one's own works. At the point of salvation, an individual becomes a new creation in Christ and is gradually transformed to become more like Him.

Romans 5:12-21; Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16-17; I John 3:8

The Church
We believe in the universal Church--a body of all believers all over the world in every age. We also believe in local churches--a body of believers meeting together regularly locally to worship, study the Word, and fellowship. The church, as portrayed in the Bible, is not only a physical building. Every Christian should be committed to a local church.

Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 3:10

Baptism and Communion
We believe that baptism is the immersion of a person completely in water as a symbol of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. Only those who are born again are qualified to be baptized in water. While it is not necessary for salvation, it is for all believers. It is an outward sign of an inward work. It symbolizes a believer's identification with Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection.

We believe that communion is a commandment of the Lord Jesus that must be received continually until His return. Only believers can share in this ceremony. The bread speaks of His body, which was torn and broken for us. The cup speaks of His blood that was shed for us. Both elements witness the death of Jesus and the New Covenant believers now enjoy while prophetically declaring His return. Communion is to be celebrated often when believers gather together.

Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 3:21; Luke 22:7-20; 1 Corinthians 11:17-30

Anyone who physically dies in his sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the Lake of Fire and therefore has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The Lake of Fire is literal. The terms "eternal" and "everlasting" used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the Lake of Fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the presence of God.
